ORC 2nds made easy work of RUCC’s batting line-up in their first 2 day match of the season making short work of the home teams batting line-up

After a solid opening partnership of 72 by Fitzy and Charlie, the boys found themselves at 3/100. However 2 solid performances with the willow by Wazza (62) and Mielke (73) combined to put on a partnership of 121 taking the visitors to 3/221 before Mielke was unfashionably dismissed after hitting his own wicket.

ORC finishing up with the respectable score of 8/270.

The opening combination of Robbo and Fardon had the home team struggling early at 2/6. Jones was next to strike breaking a partnership in the making.

Wickets then fell rapidly with RUCC finding themselves @ 5/57 after 26. Fardon resuming the bowling attack shortly after bagging another 4 wickets taking his tally to 5/46 after 19 and leaving the home team in tatters dismissed for 131.
