Pre Season Training

Just a reminder that pre season training has commenced! Tuesday nights we train at Morse Park, opposite the Sportsground, focusing on fitness and fielding.

Thursday afternoon training is once again being held at the Sportsground nets. Bear in mind that we aren’t able to use the Sportsground nets during race week, so there will be one less week of nets training leading up to the start of the season.

While numbers have been good, we would like to see more players make it to training, especially since the new season is only a few weeks away, and it gives team captains an idea of who will be playing where.

Playing Fees

Playing fees for season 2012/13 have been set at $280. This will include a new playing shirt for each player.

Junior players who play senior cricket in a grade higher than Presidents Cup as well as junior cricket for ORC will need to pay a total fee of $250, which will include their junior playing fees.
Non ORC Junior players who play for ORC in Presidents Cup will be required to pay $150 to play senior cricket for ORC.

Junior fees for 2012/13 are:

Kanga Cricket: $45
Junior Hard Ball $75

The Senior playing fee of $280 can either be paid upfront in one lump sum or in three instalments. For those opting to pay in instalments, the three dates which payment is due by are:

First Instalment – 27th September: $100 – Registration Fee
Second Instalment – 25th October: $100 – Playing Fees
Final Instalment – 29th November: $80 Playing Fees and new match shirt (note: shirt will be provided prior to start of season.)

Please note: Regardless of paying in one amount or over instalments, the registration fee of $100 MUST be paid by the 27th of September in order for players to be registered and eligible to play for the club. It is club policy that players will NOT be permitted to take the field until this initial registration fee has been paid.

This year, we are also providing the option for players to pay the fees via internet banking. When using internet banking, please make sure you include your name in the message field when making payment so we know who the payment was from. Our banking details are:

BSB: 032-814
Account Number: 70-0117
Account Name: Oberon RSL Country

If you would like to pay by cash, you are still able to do so. Please see Dave Judge at training, as all registration and playing fee payments are to go through Dave. No registration fees should be paid to team captains.

If you have any questions regarding fees, please speak to either Dave Judge, Adam Bromfield or Scott Inwood.

Twenty20

The BDCA has indicated that it would like to start the Monday night Twenty20 competition much sooner this year, and is looking to start within the first week or so of the season.

Accordingly, we need to nominate teams as soon as possible. If you are interested in playing Twenty20 this year, please let Nick, Judgey, Brommy or Scott as soon as possible. We will only be nominating as many teams as we have players show interest in.

This year, players playing in the Twenty20 comp will be required to pay $10 match fees to cover the increased costs involved in the competition this year.
