Junior and Senior Playing Fees

Playing fees for season 2012/13 have been set at $280. This is the same as last year.

Junior players who play senior cricket in a grade higher than Presidents Cup as well as junior cricket for ORC will need to pay a total fee of $250, which will include their junior playing fees.

Non ORC Junior players who play for ORC in Presidents Cup will be required to pay $150 to play senior cricket for ORC.

Junior fees for 2012/13 are:

• Kanga Cricket: $50
• Junior Hard Ball $80

The Senior playing fee of $280 can either be paid upfront in one lump sum or in three installments as per last season.

For those opting to pay in instalments, the three dates which payment is due by are:

• First Instalment – Date: Thursday, October 10th $100 – Registration Fee
• Second Instalment – Date: Thursday, November 7th $100 – Playing Fees
• Final Instalment – Date: Thursday, December 5th $80 Playing Fees

Please note: Regardless of paying in one amount or over instalments, the registration fee of $100 MUST be paid by the 10th of October in order for players to be registered and eligible to play for the club. It is club policy that players will NOT be permitted to take the field until this initial registration fee has been paid. If you have any issues in making this date, please speak to Dave Judge A.S.A.P.

Any players who are unfinancial from previous seasons will be required to be financial for the outstanding season(s) as well as the current season prior to being cleared to play.

As per last season, we are also providing the option for players to pay the fees via internet banking. When using internet banking, please make sure you include your name in the message field when making payment so we know who the payment was from. Our banking details are:

If you would like to pay by cash, you are still able to do so. Please see Dave Judge at training, as all registration and playing fee payments are to go through Dave. No registration fees should be paid to team captains.

Training

Pre-season training will commence on Tuesday the 3rd of September, from 4:30pm onwards at the Bathurst Sportsground nets.

Season Start

The 2013/14 BDCA competition has (at this stage) been scheduled to start on the 5th of October. More details will be available once the BDCA has received team nominations for each grade and draws have been created, and a decision has been made on the competition start date.

ORC Cricket Club has a long tradition of supporting our sponsors, with the long standing partnership between ORC and the Kelso Hotel remaining strong.

As such, the club has announced a pre-season lawn bowls day at the Bathurst City Community Club (opposite Red Rooster), to be held on Sunday the 2nd of September from 12 noon. As this will be our first social event of the year, we hope to see as many people as possible come along.

The cost will be $5 per person, which includes your green fees and a sausage sizzle for lunch. Bring the kids, some friends, mum and dad, brother and sisters! As this is also Fathers Day, it’d be fantastic to see as many dad’s come along for an afternoon on the green, more so as the weather is supposed to be sunny and warm!

But most importantly, come along and show your support for one of our new sponsors and have a fun and relaxing afternoon with team mates, old and new before the season starts!

Over the past few seasons, both on-field and off, we have witnessed the culmination of an enormous amount of work that has been invested by a number of hard working individuals. This coming season is expected to be another huge one for the club.

All ORC players and supporters are encouraged to attend the AGM regardless of whether you wish to nominate for a position on the club committee or not, as it provides an opportunity for all to have their say in regards to how our Club is administered.

Anyone who is unable to attend but who would like to nominate for one of the positions on the committee is asked to let Sam Debenham or Adam Bromfield know in advance of the AGM.

Ultimately, only First Grade were victorious, however Presidents Cup side were Runners-Up and Second Grade were beaten finalists. There were just as many individual highlights as there were team ones, and all can be proud of their achievements.

BDCA Awards

At the BDCA awards night, Mick Fardon (First Grade bowling average) and Dave Glasson (Presidents Cup batting average) were individual trophy winners, Ben Cummings was awarded the BDCA Senior Representative Managers Award and ORC was also awarded the McMennamin Shield.

ORC Presentation Night

The club also recently held its traditional end of year presentation night at the Kelso Hotel. The club wish to thank the Kelso Hotel, which is the major sponsor of ORC Cricket Club, and its owner Liam O’Hara for all their ongoing support of ORC Cricket Club.
